About the Cybersurvey

What is it?
Schools can now sign up for 2021
The Cybersurvey is one of the richest databases of young people's views on digital life. Created by Youthworks in 2008, this annual survey explores what it's like growing up in a digital world. 53,000+ young people have taken part. It is regularly modernised but retains core questions for trend watching. It's an essential tool for any school, college, academy chain or local authority with a responsibility for safeguarding children and young people. Use it to inform your practice and staff training. We will provide briefings, infographics and resources to use in school with young people, staff and parents.

What we study
We use what young people tell us about their experiences online to improve their digital lives. To do this we share what we have learned through reports, workshops, books, research and training for teachers and children's services.
We've looked at:
- Sexting,
- Gambling
- Meeting up
- Cyberbullying
- Emotional health
- Harmful content
- Time spent online
- Changes over time
- Lockdown life 2020
- High risk situations
- Teens' views of online safety education
- Online life for vulnerable children
- Parental advice and support
We are interested in the role of parents, schools and care settings.
